Seeing clearly
A trip to the eye doctor taught me even more about just how much my daughter is growing up.
The days of going in the exam room and doing all the talking for my kids may not totally be done. But they pretty much are as far as she’s concerned.
She’s a whole heck of a lot more mature and brave than I ever was at 13. And she probably wouldn’t figure out why I’m making a fuss out of any of this. She’ll just say she was answering questions and doing what she was supposed to, then she’ll let me know I’m being too sappy and go on about her business.
By the way, (shameless plug) Dr. Jon Painter and his staff did a great job and if you’re looking for an eye doctor in Moore, they have my vote.
But it sure is good to see your kids doing the right things, and hope you had a little something to do with it. She may not see 20/20, but she can clearly see a lot.
These are the good moments in the parenting adventure.
