12:30 ice update
The rain has picked up off and on in Moore, and I heard from several people of it “pouring” on a couple of occasions in parts of Norman. The ice accumulation is increasing but the road and sidewalk outside here, at this point, still are in good shape.
Cleveland County offices were closed at noon, and the University of Oklahoma canceled classes at noon as well at all three of its campuses.
Norman Public Schools joined most other districts in the area in closing Thursday. A determination about Friday has not yet been made.
The radar shows another pretty significant patch of freezing rain on its way into the county in the next couple of hours.
