Circumstances around the office with illness and writers leaving for the OU game in Miami this weekend have us a bit short in the sports department. Therefore, they are dusting off the former longtime sports writer — me — to cover some high school football Friday night.

I’ll be at Harve Collins Stadium (or is it Harve Collins Field, we’ve debated that for almost the entire 9-plus years I’ve worked here and I’m not sure I ever got a definitive answer) for tonight’s Norman North homecoming tilt against Moore.

Computer-permitting, I’ll try to update as the game goes along for those who aren’t able to be there. It figures to be a good night for the Timberwolves as they try to stay perfect on the season. Moore, which dominated the early years of this series, is winless on the 2009 season.
